This two-man show, part of a city-wide celebration, A Gallery Salute to the 130th Anniversary of the Art Students League, will feature selected paintings by gallery artists and league instructors Timothy J. Clark and Robert Neffson.
The New York Times in its extensive September 9th article on the League called participating artists Luminaries of the League. Clark and Neffson are among thirty living and historic artists including Will Barnet, Robert Henri and Jackson Pollock with gallery shows running as part of the celebration.
Mr. Clark is a master painter . . . He is a keen observer of nature and humanity. His considerable skills enable him to interpret his
observations beautifully through the drawing materials, oil paint and watercolor with which he has developed a unique, powerful, painterly approach. – Ira Goldberg, Director, The Art Students League
